SLUDGEPug pugmill systems incorporate a large twin screw bin, cross-feed screw, and incline screw up to our 110tph pugmill mixer. The system is built to be easily transported and setup in a matter of minutes. System Includes: sludge bin, incline conveyor, pugmill, electrical panel, silo with vein feeder.

PavementGroup’ SLUDGEpug pugmill system is especially designed for mixing water and sludges with solidification products such as ZorbsMORE Z-Pellets and other bulking agents. Solidified materials can then be safely land-filled, reducing cycle and transportation costs. SLUDGEpug pugmills were first built for the oil and gas industry for handling and mixing drill mud and tailings. Our water proof, twin screw sludge bin is safer and far more efficient than mixing in a mix pit. SLUDGpug can be employed for mixing coal silt with ZorbsMORE Z-Max polymer; for lagoon pond cleanup and hazmat projects.

Transport and Setup: Designed to be easily transported in just 2 loads without the need for oversize permits. The configuration allows for quick pin and bolt setup. (A third load is needed for the optional, fully transportable silo)

How it Works: Drilling mud is dumped into the twin-screw, heavy-duty feed bin. Materials moves along the bottom to the cross screw. An incline screw with AR hardened tips moves the sludge up and into the pugmill mixer. The optional silo with vein feeder allows light materials to be fed to the pugmill (Options include air cannons, vibrators, synched feed controls).

User Experiences: Petta Industries uses the system as a centralized processing hub for mixing and solidifying well-drilling mud, for disposal without water loss. Waste Management through Northgate Holdings uses the pugmill system for bulking and solidifying sludges and water, while meeting WM's strict guidelines for landfill waste.
