Distributors Trucks & Trailers - Our truck and trailer mounted asphalt distributors are built for efficient and accurate heating, hauling, storage and spray application of AC, asphalt cement and emulsions. Ideal for applying bitumen and emulsions to roadways, parking lots and base stabilization projects of all sizes. Their highly efficient design makes for affordable operation, while providing precision spraying of bitumen, emulsion and tack coating materials. Our distributors allow you to choose tank capacity, heating system, spray bar width and other configuration options.
Description of Tank: Our propane heated A300 is designed for the spraying of tar emulsion or coal tar based products SS1H, CRS, CRS2P. It’s perfect for a range of materials including materials that require heating up to 170F. In summer you may not need to heat the material at all as the sun will heat up the tank and the material in it. The tank is pressure sealed which dramatically extend the material life and allows the material to be reheated when needed. Tank has a double sealed lid, which can be padlocked shut. Safety Relief Valve: At 180F the relief valve will pop off. Pump System: The pump is an 8gpm pump and is capable of providing 8gpm at each spray nozzle when all 8-spray nozzles are activated simultaneously. Material flow can be regulated from a flow adjuster located behind the pump. The A300 HT is designed to pump out 1-2 gallon per minute and is adjustable also from 0-2gpm. You can also put a seal coat nozzle on valve and it will increase output up to 4 gallons per minute. Heating System: The burner is lit using a trigger switch igniter. First turn burner on, then turn on the air circulator, allow 4-5 minutes forcirculation to evenly heat tank from top to bottom. The burner is a 'sealed’ burner. Think of it as a big gas pipe extending from rear of unit, across floor, to front of unit, whereby the front is ‘closed’. The blower blows hot air into the pipe, which radiates from pipe to tank. With this indirect heating design, the burner flame does not come into direct contact with the material tank. Safety on Burner Design: The burner is sealed at the rear of the machine on the opposite side from the cleaning solution tank. This prevents the cleaning solution from contacting the flame and causing a fire. When you are ready to spray you can shut off the gas burner. Material Circulation: An onboard 8gpm pump circulates material through the tank from the bottom of tank to upper 2/3 of tank. Spraying & Nozzles: There is a lever to close a 3 way valve by which Forward operates the spray wand, Center is Shut Off, pull Back operates the ground spray bar. Each nozzle on the spray bar has a gate valve and can be shut on/off individually. Cleanout: The unit comes with an 8-gallon poly cleanout tank with gate valve. To cleanout, close gate valve at bottom front of tank from material tank to pump, then open gate valve above it and allow cleanout material to pump into either spray hose or spray bar. When cleaning solvent comes out clear, your system is clean. Leave cleaning material in the lines until next use Shipping Dimensions: A550: 157”Lx74.5”Wx90”H, 2000 LBS(with spray bar 177”L, 2250 LBS) (with Optional carrier platform add 22” to Length) A300: 127”Lx72.5”Wx92”H, 1400 LBS (with spray bar 146”L, 1700 LBS) (with Optional carrier platform add 22” to Length) Required Truck Size: The A300 can be towed by a small pickup truck (550HT requires ¾ ton truck) Note: This unit does ‘not’ have automatic temperature control or agitation.
